VAGUS NERVE STIMULATION

The Vagus nerve  is one of the longest cranial nerves and the most versatile, starting from the brain stem and finishing in the abdominals.

It is the only cranial nerve that has both sensory and motor functions, transmitting information to and from the surface of the brain to tissues and organs elsewhere in the body.

The vagus nerve  plays an important part in balancing the nervous system; it works closely with the parasympathetic nervous system to restore balance, relaxation and harmony to the organs the body.

Most common symptoms of Vagus nerve dysfunction:

  • difficulty speaking or loss of voice

  • a voice that is hoarse or wheezy

  • abnormal heart rate

  • abnormal blood pressure

  • decreased production of stomach acid

  • blood sugar fluctuations

  • pain in the ear

  • trouble drinking liquids

  • loss of gag reflex

  • Headaches

  • problems with sleep

  • nausea or vomiting

  • abdominal bloating or pain

  • inflammation

  •  Anxiety and fear

  • and more

Facial Reflex therapy can increase the vagal tone and restore balance to all the different systems in the body. The stimulation of the vagus nerve is achieved by working on the microsystem zones and neuro points on the face, scalp, ears and feet.
